About the Garden Square Committee
Under the Kensington and Chelsea Garden Square Act, the Committee's primary role is to maintain Norland Square Garden and set the annual precept for residents. The Committee oversees how the garden is managed and determines the income and expenditure required to keep it thriving.
The Committee is elected annually and meets formally three times a year, in addition to hosting the Annual General Meeting each December, which all members are welcome to attend.

Therese Randall
Garden
Responsible for liaising with the gardening team (Adam, Rob and Ed of Garden Associates) with regard to annual planning and budgeting, sharing the thoughts and concerns of the committee and residents and hearing the gardeners’ feedback and their thoughts and concerns. The gardeners also build our 5th November bonfire and arrange for the re-turfing afterwards.
Emma Kay
Trees
Responsible for liaising with our tree experts Bartletts in order to maintain our existing stock, promote tree health and safety and undertake removals and new plantings where appropriate. In addition to our regular inspections, a specialist from Bartletts conducts a tree survey every two and a half years so that we can identify and deal with any problems in a timely manner. This is on top of our regular spraying and inspections for diseases. In order to secure the safety of all garden users we aim to continue educating residents not to shelter under trees in rain or high winds, especially in summer when the trees are in full leaf.
Maya Adcock
Dogs
Responsible for registration and regulation of dogs having access to the square. Please ensure that any new dogs are registered promptly with Maya, and also please inform her of any that are to be removed from the register. There are currently 33 dogs registered.
Bill Safran
Tennis
Responsible for registration of tennis members, collecting annual fees, maintenance of the tennis court and the court booking system.
Gregg Sando
Treasurer
Responsible for agreeing annual budgets with the committee, preparing our annual accounts, liaising with the council to agree the annual precept, paying bills (all payments are counter-signed by either the Secretary or the Chairman) and providing general financial support for the committee.
Robin Hall
Secretary
Responsible for membership management, garden access, general garden infrastructure and facilities, the playground, and party/event administration.
Louise Hough
Chairman
Responsible for arranging and chairing the committee meetings and the AGM, and preparing the meeting agenda and minutes. Also arranges the Open Garden Squares day.
